Liberate Issue Two Out Now!
Welcome to issue two of Liberate!
In this issue we discuss veganism and the need to recognise that all forms of oppression are linked; hence the feature title; Vegan is Not Enough. It is not enough to recognise our privilege over animals but ignore that which we have over women, other cultures, queers and the environment. Similarly people active in social justice movements often do not acknowledge the power and privilege they hold over the earth and our animal brothers and sisters.
We have also added a few new sections; these are Know Your Friends, the Activist Toolkit and October 15th Solidarity.
Know Your Friends focuses on the animals, what they are like in the world and how they are abused by humans. Many of us do not actually know that much about those that we are fighting for so this is a chance to get better informed.
The Activist Toolkit will discuss tactics, practical DIY tips and analyse campaigns and their effectiveness.
The October 15th Solidarity section will keep our readers updated on where the case is at for the defendants of the State Terror Raids.
